Retirement is not a difficult phase – it is a new life, a fresh chapter to live with dignity, comfort and peace. As the name itself suggests, Ujjeevana represents an excellent and superior way to lead this phase of life.

In the 1980s and 90s, senior‑living townships like this were seen mostly abroad. Over the last decade, this concept has entered India and is now slowly reaching our towns and villages as well. Our scriptures speak of “देशकालौ सङ्कीर्त्य” – understanding what is right for the place and time – and today, senior‑focused layouts have become a real necessity.

With smaller families and more people working away from their hometowns, we live in an era where emotional and human support for elders is as important as financial stability. Seeing this need, we are building the Ujjeevana Layout on about 20 acres at Kemmara in Puttur taluk, Uppinangady hobli, adjacent to the Uppinangady–Subramanya state highway.

Ujjeevana stands by the simple motto: “From grocery till medical.” For a peaceful retired life, the layout brings together facilities such as a restaurant, naturopathy centre, caretakers, clinic, walking track, meditation hall, Gou Shaale, grocery shop, guest rooms, library, wide roads, CCTV, compound security, indoor and outdoor games, self‑operated street lights, and 24×7 water supply and electricity with its own transformer – all inside one campus.

These benefits are not only for elders living here but also for families from this region who are working in other places. Children can focus on their professions without constantly worrying about their parents, and they can also use these facilities themselves when they return home during holidays.

We have developed Ujjeevana with the needs of both present and future society in mind. It is based on the values of positivity, prosperity, culture and security. Anyone who wishes to live by these values can confidently consider becoming part of this project.
